Having said that...HOLY CRAP what a night! For my birthday Erin purchased two tickets to go see our idol in person for the second time...Miss Dolly Parton!
Ww started the Evening at Bob's Big Boy...which always makes for a perfect start to any day....No food comes close to the perfection cooked up at that establishment and having none in Orange county is probably a blessing!
We arrived a little late to the Greek theater ...which btw... is now my favorite venue.... so small & clean and ...um ...Greeky. Anyways, no opening act so we could hear the sold out amphitheater going nuts ...but that did not stop us form getting drinks and buying matching Dolly purses....(no, we are not 13...in physical years anyways)...next we walked up to our seats, but to get to them we had to first walk by the icon herself and she does not disappoint...the women is perfect....
Not sure what most people would expect the typical Dolly fan to be , but When we got to our seats it was a sea of gay men and women....we sat down for about three songs and realized we were not drunk enough to put up with the "your not worthy of Dolly" looks we were getting from the uber Gay fans around us.
We spent the rest of the first act watching her on a tv getting sappy and drinking our..ahem... first bottle of white Zin.
Next came intermission where we proceeded to make friends with just about everyone (if you know me drunk...this is pretty common behavior)...including two gay men that happen to be best friends with a girl Erin works with and live down the street from my parents....Small world.
Well they stopped selling all drinks after the intermission ...but leave it to the only straight girls at the concert to find a guy closing up that was willing to sell us another bottle of white Zin...that one went pretty fast....and the next thing I know we are leading our entire group around us to get up and get jiggy to 9 to 5! the same gays that were at first giving us those dirty looks were now our new best friends...I wish I had pictures but we left the cameras in the car...

and some side notes we sobered up a LONG time...and just happened to leave at the same time as Dolly and chased her tour bus for awhile until I looked it up on my Palm and realized she was headed to Sacramento..bummer. Also Erin lost her phone....See pictures of us on the grass...we drove back at 1:00 am and miraculously found it....pretty crazy.

Looks like you had a blast..how fun...but remember..don't be jealous...I have been to Dollyland..classy place that is..sorry I didn't call you back today...didn't get your message until late this afternoon..so bad at checking cell phone voicemail...let's get together soon..
