A California Adventure~ Day 1

I don't usually shoot destination weddings due to the fact that I don't fly. So when I was asked to shoot a wedding in Tahoe..I had to say "Hell yeah! Crazy Road Trip!" Then I remembered I have two kids, "Hell yeah! Fun Carazy (play on words intended) Road Trip!"
I love California. I really, really do. I did not know how much until we took 7 days exploring it. Born and raised in both Northern and Southern this is where I belong and where my family belongs. (as long as we don't get transferred) I am actually really proud to be a Native Californian..

So let the picture marathon begin oh wait...We have to throw in a little Nevada too..
and so I don't make it seem like everything in our life is sunny...Let me start by saying we had grand ol'plans of embarking on our journey early in the morning. Liam was on day 2 of a pretty good fever and after just having Jack in the hospital 5 days prior we decided to be safe and take him to the Doc. we did not get on the road until about 3 pm. This got us to our first location of San Jose very late...not to mention it was the end of the July 4th weekend so everyone else was coming home which made for bad traffic and the grossest and dirtiest bathrooms I have ever seen. In one long restroom line I saw a 12 year old girl pee her pants.... for real. Oddly..it was still kind of fun and John and I enjoyed listening to Leo Sayer all the way up...we are kind of obsessed right now. If you saw his hair you would be too.

Day 1 ~ San Fransisco (Locations: Golden Gate Park & The California Academy of Science, Lombard Street, Pier 39 -Boudin Bakery, Musee Mecanique. To top it all off we ended back in San Jose at the giant 2 story Chuck E Cheese!)

Liam was in a serious sour mood here and for most of our time at this location

Looking at Sting Rays

Liam's first stop was first aid ...he INSISTED on a new band aid

When Jack first saw the above roof he asked "Is that where the Teletubbies live?"

The above is one of my favorite shots from the whole trip...not sure why...

Jack still LOVES zebras!

Lombard street per Jack's request

This was probably one of my favorite parts of our trip..we got a snack at Boudins on Pier 39 then went to went to the coolest museum EVER..

G-night...Stay tuned for Day 2~
