Monterey Bay

Our first stop on our mini trip was Monterey. We stayed at a cute little Holiday inn that had a hot tub and a Continental breakfast....everything Jack lives for. The night started out rocky as the kids did not finally fall asleep until about 11:45 pm. Their excitement level was off the charts.

We have only been telling Jack about how great this aquarium is his whole life. And it truly is just that...great. Monterey was always my a favorite place growing up and I was lucky enough to have a pass to the aquarium for many years living in Nor Cal. If only Long Beach would take a lesson from them on what a real aquarium should look like!

The kids beyond enjoyed it. Jack is still talking about it every day and already planning our next trip.
